how to: grandpa style

14 Dec

When I spotted this cardigan decked out in mallards at Anthropologie, I just couldn’t resist! Nevermind the sales girl who inquired, “Oh, you’re buying this grandpa cardigan…?” Umm, why yes, the ducks and the big buttons lend this cardigan its frumpy charm!

While the ducks are no longer available online, this wrinkled grandpa cardigan is perfect for layering. Oh, and I’m mildly obsessing over this adorable squirrel on the time to gather sweater.

Whatever you do, do not forget the argyle socks!

I tend to buy every color available whenever I come across a good argyle sock. Gap is always a reliable source for the perfect striped, polka dotted, and patterned sock. The Tory Burch loafers were a Neiman Marcus Last Call find. A nice driver would be perfect for this look.

Does your grandpa wear cardigans? Mine is more of a plaid flannel kind of guy – another look I can appreciate!
