City Guides.

Shop: Austin, TX

Adelante: A great central Austin boutique that boasts a nice mix of clothes, accessories, shoes, and furniture. Visit in the fall for a good selection of burnt orange gear.

By George: One of my favorite places to do some window shopping (ahem, dreaming…). By George always features the cream of the crop in the latest fashions. I love to browse their vintage jewelry selection.

South Congress: An eclectic neighborhood with a great view of the downtown Austin skyline, South Congress has a variety of stores and restaurants to visit. From vintage to high-end, SoCo is a must-see for tourists and locals alike.

The Domain: North Austin’s claim to fame has a few great restaurants, but the shopping makes it a destination. A few of my favorites: Madewell, J. Crew, Neiman Marcus, Zara, a sparkly, new Forever 21, Barney’s Co-op, etc.

Shop: Memphis, TN

Ella: I always manage to find something at this small midtown boutique. Head to Ella for a pretty formal dress (Nicole Miller galore) or, my favorite, a Marc by Marc Jacobs top or two…

Isabella: Ella’s sister store, Isabella, tends to have a more youthful approach to fashion. This is a great place to visit for jeans, tops, and more trendy items.

The Shops of Saddle Creek: Head just east of town to get your J. Crew fix and, of course, visit Anthropologie. Other notable shops include: Indigo, Banana Republic, Francesca’s, Origins, LOFT, and Gap.
